The evening opens with atmospheric, cinematic works for choir, piano, and cello—including Sarah Quartel’s evocative Snow Angel and Mark Sirett’s haunting Silence, Frost & Snow. Featured appearance by acclaimed UNC faculty cellist and Grace Lin Anderson. The energy then shifts dramatically as a brilliant live brass ensemble and keyboard join the choir for powerful, soaring performances of Kevin Memley’s Magnificat and Michael John Trotta’s Gloria. Complete with a festive medley of traditional holiday carols, this diverse program bridges the gap between serene winter wonder and majestic holiday joy.
